Website Accessibility Statement
Bretco Electric Company wants every homeowner and business owner in Winston-Salem and the Piedmont Triad to be able to learn about our electrical services and reach our team, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Our Commitment to an Accessible Website
We work to make this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or other assistive tools. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as the standard we measure the site against.
Accessibility is ongoing work. As we add pages, photos, and service information, we review them with the same care so the site stays easy to use.
How This Website Supports Accessibility
These are some of the ways the site is built to work for everyone:
- A "Skip to content" link lets keyboard users move straight past the menu to the main content of each page
- Every link, button, and form field shows a clearly visible outline when it receives keyboard focus
- Pages use a logical heading structure so screen reader users can scan and jump between sections
- Photos carry text descriptions, and purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers
- Text and buttons are checked for color contrast against the backgrounds they sit on
- Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, and errors are explained in text beside the field
- Animations are reduced or turned off when your device asks for reduced motion
- Pages adjust to phones, tablets, and desktop screens, and text can be enlarged with your browser's zoom
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Embedded content from other companies, such as the Google map on our contact page and reviews shown from our Google listing, is provided by those services and may not meet the same standard. If any part of the site gets in your way, please tell us and we will help you get the information you need another way.
Feedback and Assistance
If you have trouble using any part of this website, or you would like information in a different format, please contact us. We are glad to help by phone, email, or in person, and we welcome suggestions that make the site better for everyone.
When you contact us, please let us know the page you were on and the problem you ran into, so we can look into it and respond. This statement was last reviewed on October 15, 2026, and we update it as the website changes.
